  can anyone here point me in the direction of a copy of the talk or booklet online that can be printed?

  i have a relative still 'in' that might accept that the 'food at the proper time' was missing here!

  i think i used to have a copy of the booklet 40 years ago - but it is long gone.

  Thinkin' of moving to Texas......

  my little family of xjws are thinking of moving to texas, kind of looking at the area north of houston.

  there seem to be plenty of apostates from texas on this forum.

  is there anything i should know that is good or bad about that area?

  Hope your move goes well - I left Texas 20 years back and don't miss it much.

  Coming from Wisconsin - you have never seen humidity like Houston's - trust me. I live in the great lakes area now - hate the winters - guess one cannot find the perfect place - huh?

  But I hope your move is good - and don't skimp on the AC budget.

  demon attack in Kingdom Hall

  i once heard about a sister that was having a lot of trouble with demons, and apparently she had a bad demon attack in the kingdom hall.. anyone else heard of such a thing?

  so much for the house of jehovah being some sort of refuge.. i have also heard of a witness who still experienced a demon attack despite calling out jehovah's name aloud.

  Lots of stories circulate as part of the mythology and superstition that surrounds the cult called Jehovah's witnesses. Kinda like the old telling of ghost stories around the campfire.

  I think most are Urban Legends, IMHO. Used to hear a lot of them

  Who else is not going to the memorial for the first time this year?

  well, it's going to be the first memorial i'll miss out on.

  no big deal, but i guess it has to be considered one of the final stages of "apostasy" :-).

  i remember i used to see some df-ed people at memorials.

  This is our second miss. Had just finished Ray's books before Memorial time last year - almost went - then just couldn't do it. Just doesn't mean what they taught - just like all the rest.

  This year I think we will pick a day and have wine and bread after our evening meal - talk about Jesus and have a prayer.

  Congrats, Janet!

  JWD has given me.... an outlet to aid in the healing process post-Jw. It has moved my healing forward by years in just months. It is not about info to me - it is about relating to and aiding those who suffer thru the insidious mind-warp to get thru the process. Giving is getting and that helps us all get on with life.

  Once again - congrats - look forward to the next 5000!!!!
